By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before renting or using any of our storage units.

1. General Information

Steel & Space Smart Storage is a registered business operating in Germany, offering secure, flexible self-storage solutions for private and business customers.
All storage containers, facilities, and related services are owned and managed by Steel & Space Smart Storage.

2. Use of Storage Units

  • Storage units may only be used for legal and safe storage purposes.

  • Storing hazardous, flammable, explosive, perishable, or illegal goods is strictly prohibited.

  • Customers must ensure that their stored items are packed and secured safely inside their unit.

  • The customer is responsible for locking their unit properly after each visit.

3. Rental Periods and Payments

  • Storage units can be rented on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis, with longer-term options available.

  • Rental fees must be paid in advance for the agreed rental period.

  • Late payments may result in restricted access or termination of the rental agreement.

  • All prices are subject to Umsatzsteuer (VAT) at the applicable rate.

4. Customer Responsibility

  • Customers are responsible for their own goods and must ensure they are insured if desired.

  • Steel & Space does not provide insurance for stored contents unless explicitly stated in writing.

  • Customers are liable for any damage caused to the container, equipment, or property resulting from misuse or negligence.

5. Security and Site Access

  • The site is equipped with professional security systems including surveillance and monitoring equipment.

  • Customers must not tamper with or obstruct any security or safety devices.

  • Access is permitted only during designated hours or by prior arrangement.

  • Steel & Space reserves the right to deny access in case of security concerns, maintenance, or unpaid rental fees.

6. Termination and Notice

  • Either party may terminate the rental agreement with reasonable notice, as specified in the contract (typically one week for short-term rentals).

  • Units must be emptied and left clean and undamaged upon departure.

  • Items left behind after the rental period may be removed or disposed of at the customer’s expense.

7. Liability

  • Steel & Space is not liable for loss or damage to stored items, except in cases of proven negligence on our part.

  • Liability for indirect or consequential loss (including business interruption or loss of profit) is excluded.

  • Customers store all goods at their own risk.

8. Website and Online Information

  • The information on this website is provided for general guidance and may change without notice.

  • Steel & Space accepts no responsibility for typographical errors or delays in updating content.

  • Any misuse of the website, including attempts to access restricted areas or interfere with systems, is prohibited.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

Steel & Space handles all customer data in compliance with applicable German and EU data protection laws (GDPR).

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
